The Citrix Engineer will be responsible for implementing and supporting the Citrix environment for the enterprise. Must have a customer service focus that looks to constantly improve service to our customers. Maintains key relationships with vendors, customers in the business and the other support teams with IT. Role will be responsible for recommending new enhancements as well as improvements on existing Citrix solutions.
Provide a reliable, scalable virtual technology platform to deliver applications, desktops and data in a safe, secure manner to business users and partners.
Handles problems that the first and second-tier of help desk support are unable to resolve to ensure the problem is corrected within a satisfactory timeframe
Implement, manage and support XenDesktop to provide virtual desktops to business users
Implement, manage and support XenApp to provide virtual applications to business users
Implement and manage Appsense profile management for clients connected to the virtual environment
Manage client Group Policy and logon scripts at enterprise level
Support manufacturing IT departments in their client virtualization efforts
Documenting the respective environments
Deploy and support Citrix client on endpoints
Grasp industry trends in CDS and supporting technologies
Monitoring systems to ensure system availability
Participation in various Review Boards, Steering Committees and Governance Boards as appropriate
Bachelor degree in related field or equivalent work experience
4 years IT experience
Bachelor degree in computer science or equivalent work experience
Group policy/ Active Directory Policy
OS Patching Experience
Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop experience
