The Region Operations Manager oversees and manages all Retail Operations functions inclusive of: safety, strategy implementation, Customer Service and Vehicle Service Operations, Store Operating Model implementation, Merchandising, Inventory and Labor Management for an assigned group of Area Managers within the Region. This individual will be a member of the Core Region Leadership team and participate in the overall direction of the business while developing and enabling the creation and support of a servant leadership work environment. The Region Operations Manager supports implementation of processes, validation of execution, achievement of Company, Division and Region sales, financial outcomes, expense management, merchandising, and teammate development to deliver a high level of employee engagement and customer satisfaction. Reports to the Division Operations Director with a dotted line relationship to the Region Director.


  • Able to act independently and on behalf of the Region Director to support 12 Area Managers (AM) and 125 stores

  • Works closely with Area Managers on a regular basis

  • Lead, coach, motivate and problem-solve with AMs

  • Champion company initiatives and ensure that each Area supports the direction of the Operations Team

  • Able to identify high-potential talent, internally and externally

  • Works with cross-functional team (i.e. Education, Marketing, etc) on delivering resources to the field which enable growth and address shortfalls vs Region plan

  • Supports sales and process execution by working closely with Leadership Development to ensure teammates are effectively trained and developed

  • Highly involved in creating superior level of customer satisfaction through teammate engagement

  • Encourages critical thinking and collaboration cross-functionally and actively solicits input from the team

  • Acts with integrity, builds trust and develops relationships at all levels of the organizations

  • Leads market-based strategic and operational planning by:

  • Ensuring that monthly/quarterly sales support initiatives/promotions are communicated and met

  • Communicating the National Calendar content to Field Teams and ensuring timelines are met

  • Maintaining an understanding of the competitive environment/industry information and communicating findings/impacts to Leadership Team

  • Proactively shares field needs, perspectives and local insights with Store Support Center partners

  • Leverages the monthly/quarterly business rhythms to assess and address performance opportunities

  • Provides leadership and direction in labor management by leveraging resources and tools available within the Division/Region

  • Identifies opportunities or trends in the business and provides coaching/solutions

  • Monitors customer-centric metrics to ensure continuous improvement in the customer experience

  • Establishes key internal/external partnerships and leverages those relationships to influence positive change in the customer experience

  • Ensures stores have the capacity/capability to align with and deliver on the business strategies

  • Understands, supports and integrates the overall enterprise strategies



  • Requires a minimum of 2 years multi-management or comparable role

  • 4 years supervising management teammates, or 4 years supervising managers with P&L responsibility preferred

  • BS/BA Degree preferred

  • Must live within the Region geography

  • Extensive travel is required
