Position Summary:

The Employee Relations Section Manager provides day to day HR and LR support for salaried and hourly teammates. Manages teammate relations, labor relations, talent acquisition, talent management, HRIS administration, policy development and compliance. Manages and monitors FMLA, leave programs, AAP and related employee programs and activities.

Responsibilities:

Manage and serve as point of contact for day to day salaried and hourly teammate relations. Partners with managers and supervisors on day to day issues and problems to resolution. Conduct fact finding and investigations as appropriate to recommend appropriate course of action. Drive and support policies, programs and communications for salaried and hourly teammates.

Manage and administer the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) on a day to day basis. Maintain open communications with union leadership to resolve issues and problems. Partner with HR Division Manager and managers to address CBA violations and resolve issues. Administer and maintain progressive discipline and corrective actions as appropriate. Manage recruitment and selection processes to maintain positive company image and diversity. Manage and coordinate internal manning requirements and qualifications for hourly positions. Implement and monitor validated hiring processes including testing and screening.

Manage on-boarding processes to create a positive experience for new teammates. Complete and maintain plant reports and related reports to support HR projects and cycles. Manage and coordinate contracted vending services to ensure services for teammates.

Manage, coordinate and monitor salaried and hourly attendance and related leave policies. Manage and coordinate compliance education and training to meet compliance objectives. Ensure timely investigations conducted in response to complaints of harassment or discrimination. Partners with HR Division Manager to ensure all company policies, practices and procedures are communicated and maintained.

Qualifications:

Bachelor degree in Business, Human Resources or related field of study plus at least 6 years of human resources experience in a plant location and/or corporate office. HR Generalist experience and a PHR or SPHR preferred.
