Today, Bridgestone Americas consists of an international family of enterprises with 52 production facilities and more than 50,000 employees throughout the Americas.
There has never been a more thrilling and rewarding time to be a part of Bridgestone. You can feel transformation here. We’re an organization committed to the customer and to providing opportunity for our employees. When we work together we succeed together and elevate what it means to be Bridgestone. We are a global community of people driven to be the leaders in our industry.
Our goal is to maintain safe, accident-free workplaces that also focus on disaster prevention and employee health. Each day, every teammate should go home from work in the same way they came. Safety is especially at the core of our manufacturing and warehousing processes; thanks to the diligence of our teammates, Bridgestone maintains an outstanding safety record.
Bridgestone has long held a passion for the environment, and is committed to sustaining our Earth for generations to come. Our environmental commitment extends throughout every aspect of our business. In that spirit, the company focuses on three environmental objectives:
Bridgestone Americas Trust Fund is a charitable trust established in 1952 by The Firestone Tire & Rubber Company. The Trust Fund proudly supports a wide variety of important charities in the United States, particularly in those markets it calls home. While contributions are made to nearly a hundred national and local charities each year, the Trust Fund focuses on organizations with missions supporting:
While primary consideration is given to organizations and causes related to the three major focus points, the Bridgestone Americas Trust Fund recognizes the importance and value in supporting all types of civic, community, and cultural activities.
Contributions are made to achieve the corporate objectives of the company, while increasing good will and positive awareness of our company and its teammates. Special consideration is given to organizations to which teammates give their money and volunteer their time to improve the communities where they live and work.
Additionally, the employee matching gifts program and scholarship program for employee’s children is funded by the Bridgestone Americas Trust Fund.
Bridgestone Americas is committed to supporting the communities in which we live and work. While Bridgestone supports some nonprofits company-wide (e.g. United Way, Junior Achievement), other volunteer efforts have been crafted solely to support the needs of individual communities. In each location, teammates thrive on giving to those in need and supporting efforts that make their cities, and the people in them, better.

At Bridgestone, we know that the present and future success of our business relies heavily on the development of our teammates. We continue to make investments in programs, curriculum and training that will help our teammates identify and achieve their aspirations.
We offer teammates a variety of educational and exposure opportunities to best meet their needs and schedules. These include e-learning courses, instructor-led seminars, and multi-week development programs.
At the core of our talent development program is the Integrated Talent Management System (ITMS), where teammates can work with management to implement a development plan tailored to their interests and skills sets. Throughout the year, trainings are offered on the ITMS cycle to ensure teammates have a thorough understanding of this development resource.
