This position will be located at the Bridgestone Operations Center in Antioch, TN.
Intermediate to Advanced accounting role responsible for normal and routine as well as technical business transactions related to BSAM payroll. Accountant will serve as subject matter expert to advise and educate internal customers on BSAM payroll processes. The role works closely with the payroll department to ensure that payroll is posted accurately in general ledger system.
Ensure financial results are reported timely and accurately
Conduct regular balance sheet reconciliations to ensure integrity in financial statements
Analyze accounts for reasonableness and proper accounting flows; ensure proper financial controls are
- Execute jobs to create and post payroll accounting documents in SAP at various time intervals thru the
month and post manual journals for corrections as needed
Various standard weekly and monthly reporting. Other reporting as required.
Maintain accounting master data across various SAP instances and other general ledgers systems
Continuously improve work procedures and processes, including documentation, process mapping and
Strong organizational skills
Ability to handle complex concepts/analysis and confidential data
Good communications skills to quickly and clearly respond to customer questions
Ability to maintain integrity in a fast paced and challenging environment
Cooperates and works efficiently with co-workers
Efficient work ethic to complete reports/analysis for management monthly and as required
Ability to work with remote HR consultants as needed to resolve payroll issues
-Accounting, Finance, business or technical related bachelor’s degree from accredited university
-At least 5 years work experience in a related field / in large complex organization
-Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
-Proficiency with MS Office applications; Advances Excel skills
-Knowledge of Accounting Systems and accounting flows
-Payroll accounting experience
