Position Summary:

Bridgestone America's currently has an opportunity for a Demand Planning team to join our team. This individual will report directly to the Manager, Demand Planning based in our Americas Support Center in Nashville, this individual will drive the monthly Sales Forecasting process, maintaining the forecast at Product and Customer Group level, and the facilitating of consensus meetings with Sales and Marketing. They will also drive improved forecast bias and accuracy by using metrics, researching root cause for forecast error, and developing solutions to address root cause and will support the Sales and Marketing teams with data and analysis to increase their effectiveness in building a sales plan for their business segments. The successful candidate will drive improvements in the demand planning process and develop and implement changes to improve the efficiency or effectiveness of the process or systems.


  • Performs statistical analysis and gathers all appropriate inputs from various groups (Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, and Manufacturing)

  • Contribute to the Monthly Forecast Process, considering cannibalization of existing products when launching New products

  • Facilitates resolution of forecast discrepancies between Product Categories, Sales Channels, and Brands. Leads the consensus meeting and facilitates conflict resolution

  • Generates forecast accuracy and bias / performance metrics at various levels of aggregation

  • Investigates root causes of forecast error and develops preventive/corrective measures

  • Help to improve the tool-set, process, and culture around demand planning and help to lead change throughout the organization

  • Adjusts forecast models as appropriate to reflect the expected impact of: Industry, share and economic trends, competitive issues and trends, marketing plans, events and overrides, pricing and product strategies, sales plans and incentives, new product introductions and discontinuations

  • Initiates and drives process and system improvements to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the forecasting process


  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, economics, or related field

  • Master's Degree in business, economics, or related field preferred

  • Minimum of (2) years of experience in Supply Chain, Forecasting or related

  • Ability to manage complex data, infer trends, and spot patterns

  • Knowledge of relevant analytical tools and techniques

  • Understand forecasting concepts, models, and statistical techniques

  • Understanding market, customer and end consumer

  • Understand company’s business model and mission

  • Well-developed communication skills

  • Ability to work with remote teams in an effective manner

  • Excellent project and time-management skills
