Position Summary:

Working with Bridgestone’s Vice President of Talent Acquisition, the Talent Acquisition Lead will direct the discovery, build, and execution work needed to begin supporting our Manufacturing & Technology business platform. This role will establish foundational core TA processes at both the salaried and hourly level, diagnose current state needs, identify talent priorities, and ensure close alignment with the overall talent priorities established within the Bridgestone transformation agenda.. This role will have a strong matrixed, dotted line reporting relationship to the Vice President-HR, Manufacturing & Technology and the business lines within that platform—including manufacturing, distribution, and technical centers. The Talent Acquisition Lead will provide thought leadership in expanding talent acquisition’s role in line with the business needs and will lead a team of talent acquisition resources that are embedded in our facilities—setting goals, leveraging their insights, and driving performance.

Responsibilities:

  • As a player-coach, work with the team to drive improved performance and efficiency in filling salaried and hourly requisitions through the application of core BSAM tools, programs, and processes

  • Assess the current state of talent acquisition processes, vendors, and stakeholders within our Manufacturing & Technology business platform

  • Develop a consistent process and approach across the platform for an early campus talent strategy with identified core university partners

  • Serve as a key architect and talent strategist for manufacturing facility maintenance and non-exempt technical talent

  • Partner with Manufacturing leadership and HR to determine priorities, align on processes, and develop the execution approach.

  • Develop relationships with key candidate groups; e.g. veterans, engineering groups, professional trade organizations, etc.

  • Establish strategic relationships with key external staffing partners—with an emphasis on cost/quality.

  • Create a basic forecasting model to account for production cycles and seasonality.

  • Manage the requisition workload of the Manufacturing talent acquisition partners by setting targets while driving performance.

  • Generate reports and communicate progress with Manufacturing leadership.

  • Develop strong relationships with HR and key Manufacturing leaders to gather feedback and influence strategy.

  • Advance the capabilities of the talent acquisition Manufacturing team by providing on-going coaching, support, and development.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 6+ years of full life-cycle recruiting experience; 3+ years of senior level recruitment preferred

  • 3+ years experience leading a team: setting targets, coaching, and providing development

  • Talent Acquisition experience in a manufacturing environment preferred

  • Strong foundational skills in sourcing, interviewing, assessment, and forecasting

  • Experience in training on selection methodologies and/or experience with testing for competencies

  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Action-oriented with ability to complete significant projects with limited resources

  • Collaborative leader with external partners and internal employees

  • Results driven

  • Strong executive presence

  • Able to travel 20%
