Position Summary:

The Regional Manager - Speedco is responsible for leading and directing store management, and coordinating accountability to obtain optimum efficiency of Speedco store operations while maximizing profits. This position is responsible for assisting with the technical and organizational development of the teammates through training, operations and processes necessary to achieve financial, environmental, quality and safety targets at Speedco store locations. This role will assist in helping store management to maximize the stores consistency, speed, and quality to meet company standard processes that our customers have come to expect.

This position covers a territory consisting of stores in Illinois, Indiana, and Kentucky. The ideal candidate would currently live in or be willing to relocate to one of the following cities: Indianapolis, St. Louis, or Nashville.

Responsibilities:

  • Mentor and lead retail store teammates to drive company strategies

  • Liaise with corporate leadership team and promote initiatives to improve performance

  • Maintain communication appropriately, keeping teammates informed of pending changes and performance

  • Direct team as appropriate to ensure safety and job process standards are met

  • Promote Speedco Premiere Place to Work culture and inspire Speedco teammates by demonstrating best practices

  • Maintain effective store leadership/management teams in assigned region

  • Establish and build strong relationships with store management and personnel; making regular visits assigned locations

  • Support and promote company policies

  • Recruit, hire and train applicable store personnel as needed

  • Drive and develop financial success within each store operation

  • Develop the business acumen of the store leadership team around the financial model and P&L reporting

  • Establish performance expectations and conduct reviews with staff to ensure that expectations are being met, improved upon, or exceeded

  • Make sure that all stores and personnel meet any and all safety processes and procedures, in support of a safe working environment

  • Be able to build and maintain a strong store leadership team through coaching and mentoring

  • Inspect store cleanliness and help maintain to Speedco standards

  • Mentor Store management in inventory control and ordering of product

  • Address daily operational activities

  • Ensure that the store can achieve and maintain compliance with all regulatory agencies

  • Promote Speedco quality improvement processes to track, maintain and improve customer service as well as to prevent service failures

  • Requires 60% travel based on region size and store locations

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business is preferred or equivalent experience along with verifiable industry accomplishments

  • Minimum 4 years experience to include strong operations, sales and financial capabilities

  • Ideal candidate will have had previous store management/multi-unit supervisory experience

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

  • Working knowledge with Microsoft Word/ Excel/ PowerPoint

  • Excellent people relations skills

  • Lead by example and the ability to make decisions based on strong analytical insight

  • Build and inspire trust and respect with your teammates and Speedco customers, to promote store successes

  • Understanding of P&L reports, budgets, and basic financial evaluation skills

  • Basic HR understanding of policies and regulations as they pertain to evaluations, payroll, discipline, hiring, and terminating of employment

  • Basic OSHA knowledge regarding rules and regulations

Preferred:

  • Background in trucking, tire or transportation industries would be a distinct asset

  • Experience with class 6, 7 and 8 semi truck mechanics and or lubrications helpful
