Position Summary

The Area Manager will drive sales of passenger and light truck tires to independent dealers and distributors within a specific geographic region. They will develop long term customer partnerships and coordinate sales efforts. This role will solicit Bridgestone Firestone Consumer Tires Sales busines from Independent dealers.

The position will cover East Tennessee, South Carolina, Southern North Carolina, Virgina, and West Virginia. This indiviaul would need to reside within the territory.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies that drive increases in market share and profitability within a geographic region

  • Act as a sales/business consultant reviewing sales and market trends to a diverse customer base

  • Communicate all programs and policies to customers on a timely basis

  • Act as a business partner resolving customer issues that create a win-win scenario

  • Provide education for customers on Bridgestone products within your geographic region

  • Execute advertising and promotional plans within your geographic area

  • Manage your areas within budget and all reports necessary for the business

  • Other duties as needed

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor Degree in Business, Marketing or related fieldPLUS3 years experience in field sales or comparable role

OR

  • 7 years experience in field sales or comparable role

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite to include Excel (creating and maintaining spreadsheets) and PowerPoint

  • B2B OR B2C sales experience is preferred

  • Tire sales experience preferred, but not required
