Position Summary:

This position will provide monthly financial reporting preparation and analysis. To offer specialized internal customer support in the analysis and reporting of financial data and to provide accounting of financial data. To provide accounting support, analysis & modeling during the budgeting process. Will provide support for both Aiken ORR & Aiken PSR plants.


Key job responsibilitiesinclude: 1) Budget preparation, presentation, and analysis 2) Business planning and forecasting 3) Strategic financial analysis and modeling 4) Project work


  1. Prepare all necessary analysis for journal entries using GAAP accounting practices

  2. Participate in the month end close by processing intercompany billings, posting the monthly WIP floor check, prepare account reconciliations as necessary, analysis of accounts prior to close & any other month end closing requirements

  3. Prepare and analysis the monthly, quarterly, year end schedules as required

  4. Participate in the annual WIP, Raw material inventory

  5. Continuously improve work procedures and processes, including documentation and efficiencies

  6. Review of daily spending requests for adequate budget funding


  1. Perform ad hoc analysis as requested and communicate results effectively

  2. Create models for improving plant results & understanding of costs

  3. Participate in the monthly business plan meetings as assigned

  4. Work proactively to minimize surprises


  1. Provide the budget tools necessary for the annual budget and MTP

  2. Support the plant groups in the budgeting process

  3. Provide analysis of budget results to local and corporate management

  4. Assist in the preparation of the annual budget detail required for budget presentation meetings


Required Degree 4 Year Degree in Finance/Accounting or related field

3-5 years business experience, preferably in finance or other quantitative, data-driven decision function or environment

Superior MS Excel and Access skills
