Position Summary

The Storeroom Manager is responsible for ensuring that the storeroom is sufficiently stocked with the appropriate parts as required by the maintenance and engineering departments. This position also researches and coordinates approval of material and part equivalents with better cost and/or availability as well as maintains the store room budget and cost goals as well as provide monthly and annual reports to track progress.


  • Assure parts are available when required by maintenance to prevent downtime on production equipment.

  • Lead the engineering and maintenance effort to establish and consolidate spare parts requirements for all production equipment.

  • As systems are updated work with the engineering and maintenance team to assure unnecessary parts are eliminated from store.

  • Seek out and coordinate approval of material/parts equivalents with better cost and/or availability. This includes working with vendors to obtain the highest quality products and repairs at the best price, terms and delivery.

  • Analyze stores request, orders, historical data and various system reports to set best inventories, and identify opportunities for improvement.

  • Study and audit MRO to assure inventory accuracy. Provide daily report at morning meeting on outages and delivery.

  • Develop store room budget and cost goals as well as provide monthly and annual reports to track progress.

  • Direct and develop employees under this position's purview.

  • Provides a safe environment while ensuring the quality and quantity of the products


Associates degree in Business, Management, Engineering or related field is required.

2 years experience in store room operations, materials management preferred.
