Bridgestone Americas’ Warren County, TN Plant is seeking an innovative and energetic Information Technology Manager. The Warren County Plant is a premier manufacturing facility within Bridgestone Americas, producing truck and bus radial tires. The IT Manager will lead a team of eight IT professionals and direct the day-to-day operations and activities, including work assignments, manpower needs and exercising judgment and influence on key technical decisions. The IT Manager will partner with other departments and functions to ensure innovative IT solutions are deployed in an efficient and cost-effective manner while avoiding any disruptions to production. The Warren County, TN Plant operates on a 24/7 basis. Therefore, the IT Manager may at times be required to provide support during non-standard business hours.
Assess current state of the IT infrastructure, operational procedures, and projects. Recommend improvements to include resources, training, cost, and schedules to senior management
Leads, mentors, and coordinates the activities of a dedicated team of IT professionals who design, deploy, and support shop floor IT solutions
Develops all resource and manpower plans for the department
Develops, implements, and monitors department KPIs
Ensures resources are in place and operating effectively within the technical discipline
Gathers requirements and rationalizes the business case for proposed IT solutions that support manufacturing operations
Owns vendor relationships to quote, deploy and support shop floor installations
Manage projects through lifecycles of initiation, planning, execution, and closure
Develops and/or maintains security standards, procedures and guidelines for multiple platforms
Proven ability to define, communicate, and achieve plant and company objectives and connect the IT team to the strategic plan
Bachelor’s degree in related field plus 8 or more years of relevant experience OR Master’s degree in related field plus 6 or more years of relevant experience
2+ years of direct people management experience
Experience with large IT project implementations
Experience within a manufacturing environment
Experience with project management methodologies and tools
5+ years of direct people management experience
Experience in automotive or tire & rubber industry
