Position Summary

The Marketing Operations Manager role is an important part of Bridgestone's Consumer & Commercial Marketing Teams. The Marketing Operations Manager will lead the operational implementation planning and execution of New Product Launches for the Consumer & Commercial Tire Business. The role will lead New Product Launches for the Bridgestone and Firestone Brands for the United States and Canada. Newly launched products account for approximately $400M in annual revenue for BATO Consumer & Commercial businesses accordingly. The role requires frequent interaction with the CMO and functional stakeholders. The role will regularly interaction with BATO's Leadership up through BSAM's COO, and CEO.


  • Lead cross-functional teams in the planning and execution of new product launches, with enhanced focus from 6 months prior to launch though 6 months after launch, to ensure successful new product commercialization

  • Follow the defined New Product Processes, policies and procedures to orchestrate the development and launch of new products while ensuring volume, timeliness, cost, quality and customer satisfaction metrics are met.

  • Implement rigorous daily management routines for the New Product Process organization, and hold cross functional teams accountable for managing within these routines by use of responsible, accountable, consulted or informed (RACI) models and accompanying performance scorecards.

  • Identify risks to new product launches and develop contingency plans

  • Communicate regularly with senior management and all internal stakeholders on status of launches

  • Develop cross functional new product launch process that incorporates both supply and demand as well as key marketing deliverables

  • Build sustaining and collaborative relationships with key internal team members

  • Identify appropriate means to automate processes, define workflows and configure reports, for example, using supporting technologies.



  • Minimum four-year Bachelor's degree, MBA preferred

  • Minimum five years total or 2+ years post-MBA experience in a combination of the following areas: Project Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, Marketing & Sales

  • Strong project management skills, including demonstrated experience in leading large cross functional projects.

  • Ability to lead and motivate cross functional teams; including peers and leadership


  • Demonstrated analytics skills and a detail-oriented approach to solving issues and managing projects.

  • Serious commitment to accountability and ownership, and a strong work ethic

  • Ability to integrate multiple sources of information to arrive at conclusions. Must be able to use intuition, logical reasoning, and innovation to solve problems.

  • Ability to plan and manage at both the strategic and operational levels Ability to manage multiple and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
