The Bloomington Off Road Tire Plant of Bloomington-Normal, IL has been operational since August 1965. This Construction Radial and Bias Mining Tire Plant of approx. 420 total teammates (Full Time Salared, Hourly, and Contractors) produces Off the Road Tires for Worldwide Operations.

Position Summary

Under the direction of the Technical Services Manager, the Process Coordinator is responsible for development, improvement, and maintenance of processing and/or tire development and technical support services within the Bloomington Plant Working Environment. This individual will monitor and improve upon quality and processing areas and provide problem-solving assistance in processability, quality, performance, productivity, and cost.

Responsibilities

*Interpret Product & Process Specifications and Standards, Coordinate Process Improvement Trials, Projects, and New Tire/Component Development.

*Optimize Production Processes by studying current operating conditions, quality returns, and historical data. Assist with Preparing, Issuing, and Controlling Plant Specifications and Methods for Factory Use.

*Investigate problems and initiate corrective actions to maximize quality costs. Prepare and Present Data and Information to Technical Manager, Factory Management, etc.

*Conduct Standard Audits/Review Before, During, and At the End of the Process. Develope and Report Actionable Metrics for Accurate & Efficient Quality Tracking.

*Assist in Training Production Management & Hourly Teammates in Product and Process Quality Subject Matter Areas.

*Ensure Corporate Standards are being followed and issue temprorary deviations when necessary. Follow 3M Trials involving changes to any Production Process, Method, Materials, or Machine.

*Document Quality Standards against Specifications and Provide Accurate Reports on a Regular Basis. Adhere to, apply, and follow all Quality Control and Testing Processes to Contribute to Production Quality and Customer Satisfaction.

Qualifications

Required: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Math, Physics, or Related Technical Field

OR

At least 10 years experience in Rubber/Tire Manufacturing including Experience in Engineering, Technical Services Laboratory, Quality Assurance, or Industrial Engineering.

Preferred: Microsoft Office Experience (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and strong ability to interact/commmunicate with all levels of Management and Production Teammates.
